Dean’s Garden Centre started out as a family run business that served local gardeners for 56 years. The York store in Stockton-on-the-Forest was opened in 1968 by Mr & Mrs Dean and the centre has gone from strength to strength growing to cover more than four acres.

Mr & Mrs Dean retired in 1993 and their 3 children took over the day to day running of the business. After 56 years of successful trading, the Partner’s made the difficult decision to sell their business to enjoy a well-earned retirement. The business is now part of the Yorkshire Garden Centre family of centres, with sites at Tong, Tingley, Otley & Bingley.

Exciting refurbishments and upgrades are coming to Dean’s York Garden Centre, and we are thrilled to bring you along on this journey with us. As we enhance our facilities to better serve you, rest assured that the charm and character of the garden centre you love will remain at the core of everything we do. Our commitment to providing a delightful experience for all our valued customers continues to be our top priority.
